About Lowey

Lowey Bundy Sichol (her last name rhymes with pickle!) is an award-winning children’s author with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Lowey is a pioneer in introducing kids to entrepreneurship and business. She firmly believes that ideas alone don’t change the world, entrepreneurs do.

Fun Facts!

Education: Lowey received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA from Hamilton College.

Sports: Lowey loves sports! Lowey was a two-sport college athlete and three-sport high school athlete, earning notable recognition including Boston Globe’s Most Valuable Player in Softball, New England Champion in Basketball, & New England’s top ten runner in Cross-Country. Her favorite sports team is the Chicago Cubs, and once she threw out the first pitch at a Cubs game!

Golf: Lowey is a 2 handicap, club champion at three golf courses but pales on the course compared to her kids. Her twin daughters are both NCAA nationally ranked collegiate golfers and her son plays varsity golf in high school.

Favorite things: Kids always want to know Lowey’s favorite things so, here they are… Lowey’s favorite color is green. Her favorite food is chocolate. Her favorite books are Harry Potter #1, #3, #7.

Business owner: Lowey is also an entrepreneur and owns an indoor golf training facility north of Chicago called Champion Ways Golf. www.ChampionWays.com

Dogs & Family: When she’s not writing books or playing some kind of sport, you can find Lowey along the shores of Lake Michigan with her husband Adam (who is also an entrepreneur), her three teenage kids, and these two big goofy dogs.

 

Official Biography

LOWEY BUNDY SICHOL (her last name rhymes with pickle) is an award-winning children's author with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is a leading expert in teaching business and entrepreneurship to kids. 

After graduating business school, Lowey worked in brand management, then ran her own MBA case writing company for 14 years with prestigious clients like Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, and several Fortune 500 companies. In 2019, Lowey turned her focus to the next generation (kids!) and launched her first children’s books that focused on entrepreneurship & business.  

Lowey’s nonfiction children’s books include the award-winning children’s series From an Idea to… (HMH/ Harper Collins, 2019); Idea Makers: 15 Fearless Female Entrepreneurs (Chicago Review Press, 2022); and Cookie Queen: How One Girl Started Tate’s Bake Shop (Random House, 2023). Her books have launched a movement to bring entrepreneurship education into elementary and middle grade schools across the nation. Lowey has been featured on NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and is currently casted on The History Channel’s The Toys that Built America, season 2.

Lowey received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA from Hamilton College where she played softball and rugby. She lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband Adam, three children, and two big dogs.
