Lowey has created a unique giving back programs for Title 1 schools that brings books to your students and a free author visit to your school. Read more below:

Free Author Visits & Books to Title 1 Schools

In 2019, Lowey launched a Giving Back Program called Authors Inspire that finds companies to sponsor Lowey to come to your Title 1 school AND donate hundreds of her books to your students, one book for each student. To date Lowey and her sponsors have donated over 5,000 books to kids at Title 1 schools and provided dozens of free author visits. Here’s how Authors Inspire works:

A Sponsor for the Event!

Lowey works with generous PTOs or local companies that want to give back to your school. The sponsor pays for the books, one book for every child at the author visit. As gratitude for the donation, we create a custom bookplate sticker with the sponsor’s logo, and Lowey autographs each sticker before it is applied to the book. Finally, some of the sponsor’s employees or members may attend the author visit and help pass out the donated books, truly enjoying the impact their donation has made.
Lowey Donates the Author Visit

Lowey connects with participating Title 1 school(s) and coordinates her free in-person author visit. Each visit is ~45 minutes long and gets children excited about entrepreneurship and dreaming big! The donated books are distributed at the end of the author visit and photos are taken with the students, Lowey and the sponsor.
Every book received includes a personalizes bookplate sticker so it’s extra special for the kids.
Title One Schools & Kids Benefit!

The big winners of Lowey’s Giving Back Program are the kids and teachers at the Title One schools! Many of these children have never experienced an author visit before and some may never have received their own book before!
But here’s a true fact… so many of today’s successful entrepreneurs came from not much. And Lowey’s visit and books help show them this reality as well as inspire them to dream big!
